Flower Painting for my Mother In Law

My Mother In Law repainted her living room.. and mentioned that she needed some artwork to match the new tan color.. and since I am SUCH a Nice Daughter in Law.. I made her one!
I was inspired by this painting
Paper flowers and branches on a canvas. Love!
I found on Pinterest
Want to make one too?  Well here's HOW!
Start with three canvases.. I used one 16" x 20" and two 5" x 7"s.
Then I made the background by decoupaging it with book pages.
Once the glue was dry then it was time to paint it!  So I dripped three shade of brown on to the canvases.
Then I pulled the paint with a piece of cardboard.
Next I hand painted branches onto the canvases so that they overlapped.
Next I created white fabric roses and hot glued them to the canvas.
Then I cut burlap leaves and painted them with brown accents.
Then I glued them to the canvases.

Then I laid them all out together.
I think she'll love it.. atleast I HOPE she does!
And no, I don't think I will EVER get sick of making cool stuff with fabric roses!
I am sharing with these fun parties!

  2. That is absolutely beautiful. I am sure your mother in law will love them. The three dimensional roses add a touch of realism...enough that I might be tempted to pick one :)
