Pink Hippo Parade of Cows!

I saw these guys hanging around Michaels in the clearance aisle for a whopping $.89 and I just couldn't resist.

So me and the mini hippos made our very own Parade of Cows!

The hippos were soo excited and did a great job!

And of course 

they are all soo different.

I made mine with  fabric Mod Podge

and fabric nesting dolls.

And of course she had to have a sweet face to match her dolls.

Our V-day!

Yesterday was my littlest guys BIG 6th birthday!

He started out the day with lots 

of presents.

We made some fun shirts to celebrate!

And matching ones for my Heartbreakers!

Breakfast out with Mommy and a surprise birthday corn muffin!

He helped me deliver some special treats to the local Retirement home.

Then my favorite Valentine took me out for a surprise lunch!

We had class party fun with a strawberry snack!

Dinner with Grandma and Grandpa.

More presents...

and of course some chocolate!

We had to have cake too!

Sooo yummy 

and fun!

Then it was time for hugs..  

and kisses!

Even the Dog Needs Some V-day Love

We got a new puppy in October.. so tomorrow is Penny's first Valentine's Day and she's Really excited!

She even has her I "Woof" You Valentine Bandana.

Want to make one?  It's really easy.. it only took 10 minutes!  Yay!

Ingredients

Fabric

elastic

sewing machine

I started by folding my fabric into a triangle and making a small folded over long strip of fabric.

I sewed the strip right sides together first.

Then I turned it right side out and put the elastic into it.

I scrunched the fabric on the elastic a bit and then pinned it into the folded bandana.

Last I sewed it all together

and bribed my puppy with a treat so she would be still for a quick photo session!

Penny says, "I Woof You!"

Valentine Ruffle Apron & a Girl Scout Event

Yesterday my Girl Scouts and I hosted a the First Annual Bake, Decorate and Donate event in our town!  

So I thought that my little lovely girl should have something special.. her very own Valentine Ruffle Apron to keep her clean!

Now I would have made one for each of my girls.. but um.. time is just NEVER on my side and I was organizing the event.  

But if you have ever been a leader's daughter (or in my case) had your daughter in your troop, there are many times when they are the ones who get the broken craft, or wonky reindeer antlers at Christmas, or have to share their craft supplies and Mommy.  

She was sooo excited!

I can't even tell you how proud I was of all my girls and the Girl Scouts in town.  

We decorated and bagged 600 cookies to be donated to local charities.

We also made cards to send to our troops.

Valentine Fry Boxes

It's a snow storm here in NJ.. so while I'm stranded at home I thought I would get these cute Valentine's

 done for my Kindergarten class. 

They were soo easy to make!

Ingredients

Pick your Plum Fry boxes

$1 Store Cupcake liners

Plastic Heart

Pick Your Plum Bakers twine

Glue

Ribbon

Cello

I started by smashing my cupcake liner and glueing it onto the fry box, then adding my heart.

Next I wrapped it with some twine.

Filled it with tissue paper and my Valentine goodies which included a pencil, box o stickers, heart box filled with kisses, heart lollipop, tootsie roll and sweettarts.

Then I put it in a cello bag and tied it with a bow!

I also made a little tag which I tied with twine.  I love baker's twine!

Last I packed it up so it's easy to grab on V-day!
