Take me out to the Ball Game

Right now I am working on a HUGE project.. literally!

Yup.. this guy.. who started out as a big hand drawing that I painted as above.
He is going to be a backdrop for the Cultural Fair at the mini hippos school.  

And after lots of hard work and painstaking detail was turned into a magazine cover backdrop for baseball during the Great Depression.

And when the fair is over this guy is going in my boys room cause they just love it!

Mustache Bash

Yesterday was my boys' Movie Theater Mustache Bash!

Yes!  We did have a Mustache themed party.. they both love Mustaches and think they are super funny.

So we took Mustache to the Max!

We set up the theater table with some mustache fun. (it was dark in there!)

Then we took pics of my boys 

with their mustache crowns!

And of the kids with mustaches on a stick!

And who could forget the Mustache cake

and mustached cupcakes for all the kids?

We had a great time and Oz the Great and Powerful Rocked!

Wet Your Whiskers Sign

Today is my boys joint birthday party..Yay!  We are having a mustache bash movie party.. so here is my first  decoration..

Want to make one.. it was easy and fun~

Supplies 

Wood board

Scrapbook paper

Paint

Mod Podge

Start with your board

give it a quick coat of paint.

Mod Podge your "Wet Your Whiskers" onto your sign.

Add some cute mustaches.

Hot glue some wood blocks

 to the back, one on each corner.

Then outline your words to make them stand out.

Last add a little strip of paper around your bottle and glue your mustaches on.

Lucky Wreath!

Lucky You.. I actually have a project today.. woo hoo!

 

Lucky me, I get a lovely St. Patty's day wreath out of the deal!

Want to make one.. here's how.

Supplies

Wreath (dollar store)

Ribbon

Burlap 

Fabric 

Chiffon Lace Flowers

Lace

Steam a Seam

Pearls and Rhinestones

Sewing Machine

Hot Glue Gun

Now my picture is a bit deceiving as I only used the green fabric, cause half way through I changed my mind!

Start by cutting your burlap into strips and wrapping it around your wreath.

Next cut your banner pieces from your burlap.

I used my Cricut to cut the word Lucky,

then pinned it onto my fabric that was attached to my Steam a Seam

and cut it out.

Next iron it onto the banner.

Then pin your banner onto the lace

and sew it together.

Then glue it onto your wreath.

Next I made a whole pile of fabric and lace flowers, and some chiffon lace roses from my 

Scarf

which I hot glued

 onto the wreath.

Then hang it up and admire it!
