Teacher Appreciation Idea #1

We love our teachers!
So here is an easy cork board project that I came up with to store all of those important notes!

embroidery hoop
cork round (Ikea)
ribbon (2 kinds)
mini clothespins
wood circles

Start by drilling a hole in your cork round.  Then paint the hole a color that matches your fabric.

Next cut out 5 circles from your fabric to make the circles for the "notes" and glue them to the wood circles.
They should look like this:
When the paint is dry on the cork board glue down the fabric.. first on the top and then all the way around.

Then wrap the embroidery hoop in thick fabric.. I used grosgrain.  Tie a loop at the end.

Now tie the cork board circle to the embroidery hoop.

Last tie the twine string across the embroidery hoop and glue the letters to the clothespins.

  1. I have a lot of friends who are teachers and I can tell you right now that they would appreciate this because it doesn't have an apple on it. :) Such a cute idea!

  2. This is so cute! Stopping by from Reasons to Skip the Housework, we are having a giveaway on our blog if you want to check it out:)

  3. Stopping in after a LONG love this idea and all the rest too! I see you have been busy!
